On Saturday, April 6, my office will hold a Military Academy Information Session at Green High School’s senior common room from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for all Ohio 16th District students interested in attending one of the U.S. Military Academies. Students and parents attending the information session will have the opportunity to hear from and speak directly to members of my staff and representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point to learn how to apply to the service academies and for congressional nomination. Additionally, the information session will offer guidance and tips on individual parts of the application process, including the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA), Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB) and the ACT Super Score process.

Wearing the cloth of this nation is one of the biggest commitments you can make to our country, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to nominate students to these academies to become a part of our next generation of military leaders. My office will begin accepting applications for service academy nominations on May 1, 2019 for those who are current high school juniors, seniors and those who have already graduated. The deadline to apply for a nomination from my office is October 1, 2019.
