U.S. Congressman Anthony Gonzalez (R-Rocky River) announced a total of $5,030,110 in new grant funding awarded to Wayne County Airport from the U.S. Department of Transportation under their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The grant money is designated for use to design and construct a full-length parallel taxiway at Wayne County Airport this fiscal year.

“I am thrilled to see the FAA recognize the role smaller general aviation airports, including ours in Wayne County, play in growing local economies,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “This grant will enable Wayne County Airport to improve its taxiways and continue serving our community and local businesses for years to come.”
