Reopening schools this fall should be top priority in COVID-19 response: Anthony Gonzalez

Long before the COVID-19 pandemic impacted our state, parents across Ohio were doing everything imaginable to juggle their jobs with family life. It is no secret the weight of the pandemic has made these responsibilities more difficult.
With school and day care closures, working U.S. parents are now taking on an estimated additional 29 hours of household chores and child care per week as they try to fill the gap. Despite this hard work and sacrifice, our children continue to face significant challenges by staying home.
